What if...

At some point in our lives we toil with the "what ifs." What if I'd made that move or hadn't? What if I'd stayed at that job or married that person. What if....

You come across old pictures that remind you vividly where you were the moment you decided against the "what if" in your life. Your mind can go many places if you let that "what if" paint the picture of what right now could be.

I have battled the "what ifs," especially at times when my response to life is a surprised, what?!

But when I take it all in, in its entirety I realize the "what ifs" only exist because of the "what is."

I thank God for the time and people He has blessed me with. People whose roles may have seemed insignificant yet have made a lasting impression in my life. People who I had maybe hung up in the back of my mind as a "good memory," yet who helped catapult me in a direction I would not have anticipated.

I have been blessed to hear and see how God has used me to impact other people's lives and share with them how they were used to help me.

A lasting impression on the pages of our life's story-and to think that we could have reached these new heights without that "what if."

Isaiah 55:8 (NLT)
"My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, " says, the Lord. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine."
