She trusts

Aware of life's ever-changing landscape, she kneels. Life just doesn't make sense to her sometimes. From peaks of overwhelming joy, followed by peaceful mesas that then lead her into valleys of sorrow, she panics. The abrupt change in surroundings leaves her feeling confused, lost and at times even forgotten. Stopping to look around, searching for a sign of familiarity she dizzies herself into patiently waiting despair. Finally coming to the end of her own strength, her own calculations and frustration-she weeps.

Pouring out the anguish in her heart through her tears she calls Him, for He is near to the brokenhearted. To think that through the sorrow and rejection Jesus felt at the cross, He knew that He was saving us. To love is to hurt. A selfless love cannot avoid it.

Within moments He is there, reminding her of His many promises. In so many ways He continues to astound her. Answering prayer upon prayer.

Father, though I don't understand Your plans at times, I rest in Your love. Knowing that whatever pain or trial I encounter here are not worth comparing to an eternity in Your arms. Lord, I trust You.
